The draw for the new-look FIFA Club World Cup will take place on Thursday, December 5th. The annual event, which is played between eight teams, will now include 32 clubs, with the most successful sides from each of the six international confederations taking part. During the tournament, 63 matches will be played at 12 venues across the United States. Here’s everything you need to know about the Club World Cup.

AFC (Asia + Australia): Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), and Ulsan HD (South Korea)

The 32 teams have been divided into four pots of eight with confederation rankings

What are the dates for the Club World Cup?
The opening match will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, June 15. The final is at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, July 13.
How will the format for the Club World Cup work?
The club world cup format is the mirror of the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League. With the 32 clubs drawn into eight groups of four, they play each other once. The group winners and runners-up go through to the round of 16 followed by quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. If a game ends in draw then extra time and penalties determine the winner.
