Eligibility criteria:
Environmental Management Officer Trainee: Two-year full-time master’s degree in environmental science, natural resource management, environmental engineering, or an equivalent degree with First Class from an accredited university or institute
Officer Trainee (Social Management): Two years of full-time, first-class Master’s degree in social work from an accredited university or institute.
Officer Trainee (Human Resource): A two-year full-time postgraduate degree, diploma, or master’s degree in human resources, personnel management, industrial relations, social work (with a focus on personnel management and industrial relations), HRM, labour relations, or labour and social welfare from an accredited university or institute with at least 60% of the possible points is required.
Officer Trainee (PR): Graduate with a 60 percent grade in journalism, public relations, or mass communication with a full-time postgraduate degree or diploma.
UGC Net score:
Officer Trainee (HR): Candidates must pass the UGC NET paper on human resource management, labour welfare, personnel management, industrial relations, and labour and social welfare.

Maximum Age The PGCIL Officer Trainee position has an upper age limit of 28 years.
Application fees:
Candidates must pay a 500 rupee application fee. Candidates in the SC, ST, PwBD, ExSM, and DESM reserved categories are not required to submit an application fee.

Selection process:
The candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the group discussion, the UGC NET paper, and the in-person interview. The following weights are assigned: 85% for the UGC NET December 2024 exam, 3% for group discussions, and 12% for in-person interviews.
