Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got married in a traditional Telugu ceremony on November 4 in Hyderabad, in the presence of their friends and family members. And now, a video has surfaced online in which the bride can be seen getting emotional as the groom put a mangalsutra around her neck during the ceremony.
Several inside photos and videos from Sobhita and Chaitanya’s wedding have now gone viral, and in one of them, the couple can be seen performing the mangalsutra ceremony. As the priest recited mantras, Chaitanya tied the mangalsutra around Sobhita’s neck, and the actress struggled to hold back her tears.
In the video, she can be seen smiling at Chaitanya and wiping her tears as he lovingly put the mangalsutra around her neck, thus sealing their marriage. Chaitanya’s father, superstar Nagarjuna, can also be seen cheering for the couple as they were declared man and wife.
Sobhita looked breathtaking as a Telugu bride in a golden kanjeevaram saree, paired with traditional gold jewellery. Chaitanya, on the other hand, wore a white kurta-pyjama set, paired with the traditional red pancha. Reportedly, the pancha belonged to Chaitanya’s grandfather, late Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
On Wednesday night, Nagarjuna shared the first photos from Sobhita and Chaitanya’s wedding, and penned a heartfelt note welcoming the Ponniyin Selvan actress into their family. “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me. Congratulations to my beloved Chay, and welcome to the family dear Sobhita—you’ve already brought so much happiness into our lives,” he wrote on X.
“This celebration holds even deeper meaning as it unfolds under the blessings of ANR garu’s statue, installed to mark his centenary year. It feels as though his love and guidance are present with us in every step of this journey. I thank the countless blessings showered upon us today with gratitude,” he added.
