WhatsApp closed: WhatsApp keeps stopping support on very old operating system versions. This list is updated from time to time. Users of devices running older Android and iOS versions may lose their WhatsApp chats. In such a situation, it will be necessary for them to take backup of the chat. Even though Android 15 or iOS 18 has been released today, there are many users who are running phones running on very old software versions. WhatsApp is ending support for these devices. Here we are telling you the list of all those devices for which WhatsApp support is going to be stopped.

First of all, let us tell you that according to WhatsApp, currently WhatsApp service has been stopped on devices running Android 4 or older and iOS 11 or older. Only those devices will get WhatsApp support and updates, which are running on Android 5 or newer and iOS 12 or newer. But a big change is going to happen in May next year.

According to WhatsApp’s FAQ page, from May 5, 2025, WhatsApp will only support iOS version 15.1 and above, which means iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will not be able to use WhatsApp on their devices from May next year. Will be able to do.

To continue using WhatsApp on their iPhone, users will need to update to version 15.1 or above. If you run any of the above iPhone models, check for updates in Settings > General > Software Update.

WhatsApp says that one of the main reasons for this change is that the new iOS version includes updated APIs and better technology, which WhatsApp relies on to deliver new features.
