The UK’s Aston University and India’s Symbiosis International University have partnered to create a new dual program that will provide students degrees from both the UK and Dubai. The students will have the opportunity to study in Dubai and Birmingham, UK.
In June 2024, the two universities signed a strategic collaboration agreement to work together on a number of projects and activities in the UK, India, and Dubai. These initiatives will focus on cooperative conferences, teaching research, and executive education.
Aston University’s Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Aleks Subic, commented on this, saying, “I am delighted to further strengthen our two universities’ partnership across our campuses in the UK and Dubai.” This strategic move marks a turning point in our internationalisation and collaboration and will open the door for the implementation of our collaborative academic programs. in addition to generating fresh prospects for our two establishments.
About the dual degree program
The students will receive credentials from both Dubai and the UK. The students will attend Aston University in Birmingham for two years after spending the first two years in Dubai.
The first cohort for the four-year dual degree program will start in June 2025. Successful graduates of the dual degree program will get a BBA from SIU and a BSc in Business and Management from Aston University.
The student has the opportunity to study at the University of Aston campus in the United Kingdom and the Symbiosis India campus during this program. Through this program, students can earn two Master’s degrees in as little as two years. These degrees include an MBA (Banking and Finance) program with a focus on Financial Services and an MSc in Finance.
