There is no sign of stopping Gujarat’s keeper batsman Urvil Patel. A week ago, he had made the record of the fastest T20 century for India. Now he has played a brilliant innings and scored a century in just 36 balls. In this way he has expressed his anger at being left unsold in the mega auction. He played an inning of 115 runs in 41 balls and led his team to victory over Uttarakhand by 8 wickets.

Urvil broke his own record

Urvil broke his own record for the highest individual score by a Gujarat batsman in T20 with 115 runs. Even after the century, Patel’s explosive batting did not stop. He continued his aggressive game and remained unbeaten after scoring 115 runs in just 41 balls. His innings included eight fours and one six.

Gujarat achieved the target in the 14th over

On the basis of his innings, Gujarat achieved the target of 183 runs given by Uttarakhand in just 13.1 overs. After getting a tough target from Uttarakhand, Gujarat got off to a good start thanks to Patel and Arya Desai. After Desai’s dismissal, Patel continued to attack the Uttarakhand bowlers with Abhishek Desai and then captain Akshar Patel.

Urvil remained unsold in mega auction

Patel, a native of Mehsana, made his debut for Baroda in a T20 match against Mumbai in Rajkot in 2018. He also tried his hand at List A cricket that year, but made his first-class debut six years later. Before his brilliant performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, no team had shown interest in Urvil in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
