Banaras’s Prashant became man of the matchHamirpur, 02 December (HS). In the first phase of Maulana Salim Memorial All India Sports Festival held in Maudaha town on Monday, the second match of the cricket tournament was played between Banaras and Kanpur, in which Banaras won the match by 8 wickets.
The Maulana Salim Memorial All India Sports Festival was inaugurated on Sunday at Rahmania Sports Ground located on Kapsa Road in the town. In which the second match of the cricket tournament organized in the first phase of the sports festival on Tuesday was played between Banaras vs Kanpur. In which Banaras won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Kanpur team, which came to bat in the same sequence, could score only 156 runs in the stipulated 30 overs, losing eight wickets. While chasing the target, Banaras team won the match in 16 overs after losing 3 wickets in a one-sided match. Himanshu scored the maximum 40 runs for Kanpur.
Whereas Prashant Vaibhal, who played the highest unbeaten half-century innings of 55 runs in 28 balls for Banaras, was honored with the Man of the Match trophy by chief guest Zahid Siddiqui and special guest Advocate Abdul Haseeb. During this time, thousands of sports lovers were present on the ground to watch cricket. In the cricket match, the role of umpire was played by Sameer Sabhasad and Asif Parvez and the role of commentator was played by Abdul Qadir and Naushad Sanjari and the scorer was Sameer.
