The football team of Government Polytechnic, Mandi Adampur has made the institute proud by winning the silver medal in the Inter-Polytechnic Football Tournament organized at Guru Daksh Government Polytechnic, Hisar. In this state level football competition, teams from various polytechnic institutes of Haryana participated enthusiastically and displayed their talent, skill and enthusiasm. Amidst this tough competition, the team of the institute displayed excellent teamwork and determination throughout the tournament. , thereby fulfilling his dream of making it to the finals.
Despite tough competition, they achieved the runner-up position, which is a significant achievement for the institute. In the competition, team in-charge Praveen Panu and Hawa Singh Nandal told that the team defeated Government Polytechnic Dhangad (Fatehabad) 1-0 in the quarter final with the help of Himanshu’s excellent goal. In the semi-final, the team defeated Rihan, Atharva and Himanshu with better performance. With the performance, Government Polytechnic Narnaul was defeated 3-2 and entered the finals.
In the final, the team of Gurudaksh Government Polytechnic, Hisar was the winner. The success of the team, the guidance and training of their dedicated sports in-charge senior professor Praveen Panu and professor Ramesh Kumar played an important role in this achievement.
