November is the worst month for Pakistan!
November was the second deadliest month of the year. Before this, the month of August had proved to be the bloodiest month. This month, apart from 92 civilians, 254 people including 108 terrorists and 54 security personnel were killed. However, the month of November proved to be the deadliest month in terms of casualties among security forces. Whereas before this, the month of October had proved to be the most fatal for the security personnel. 62 security personnel were killed this month. But in November this number increased to 68.
Not only this, 257 people were also injured in the clashes and bomb blasts, which included 104 security personnel and 119 civilians. The increase in the number of attacks, injuries and casualties reflects the sharp increase in terrorist attacks across the country over the past few years. The report also said that 131 people were killed in the terrorist attacks, including 54 security personnel, 50 civilians and 27 terrorists.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is continuously fighting against terrorism
However, the month of November saw a significant increase in terrorist activities, with 71 attacks recorded compared to 68 in October. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was most affected by terrorism. Here, 71 people were killed in 50 terrorist attacks while 85 people were also injured.
English newspaper Dawn quoted Islamabad think tank as saying that the worst tribal conflict in recent history has taken place in Kurram district. More than 120 people lost their lives in this bloody clash.
Thousands of attacks so far in the year 2024
According to the report, so far 20 terrorist attacks have taken place in Balochistan, in which 60 people have died. This includes 26 security personnel, 25 civilians and 9 terrorists. Dawn quoted the think tank as saying that 127 terrorists were killed in November, the highest number of terrorists killed in a month since February 2017. A total of 148 terrorists were killed in February 2017.
Pakistani security forces have also suffered huge losses due to these attacks. 68 of its employees died and this is the highest number since January 2023. Then 114 people of security forces were killed. The data also shows that the number of terrorism-related deaths is expected to exceed 1,000 in 2024. Now 1,082 people have died in the last 11 months. So far this year, there have been 856 terrorist attacks in Pakistan whereas last year there were 645 attacks.
