In an old video that surfaced on social media, former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif had revealed that he possesses connections with notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The video has gone viral amid the BCCI objecting to send the Indian men’s team for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, scheduled to be played in February 2025.
While the PCB had released the draft schedule of the tournament a few months ago, the BCCI has recently communicated that the Indian government did not clear the team to go to Pakistan due to security concerns. However, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has refused to budge on multiple occasions, claiming that India should talk to him as he will alleviate any concerns.
Speaking to Nauman Niaz in an old interview, here’s what Latif claimed:
“Pange Kisse le rahe ho? Bhai ke ghar ke baraabar mein rehte hain hum log. Jahan main rehta hoon na bhai ka ghar hai idhar. Toh yeh jo game chala rahe hain upar se woh chod dena.”
(Whom are you messing with? I stay near Bhai’s house.)
