Mahabaleshwar Launches Digital Screens to Display Environmental Quality and Boost Tourism |

The air quality of Mahabaleshwar city is now available on a digital screens across the city. This first-of-its-kind experiment in Satara district is being implemented by the Mahabaleshwar Giristhan Municipal Council. In this new initiative, digital screens have been installed at major intersections in the city to display environmental indices and information about government schemes.

The digital screens installed by the Mahabaleshwar Giristhan Municipal Council make information on environmental indices such as temperature, rainfall, humidity, noise intensity, and air quality easily accessible to residents and tourists.

Notably, information on polluting particles like CO2, PM 2.5, and PM 10 is also available on these screens. This will make it easier for tourists and local residents to understand the quality of the city’s environment.

This new initiative will also give a boost to tourism growth as the city’s environmental index will be available in digital form. Digital screens can be seen at the following places in Mahabaleshwar city: These digital screens have been installed at four locations in Mahabaleshwar city: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, The Club Chowk, Raj Bhavan Road Mahad Naka, and Petit Library towards the ST stand.

Temperature goes down in Satara

The number of people walking around in the morning has also decreased.

People are starting to use sweaters, earmuffs, and jackets to protect themselves from the cold. Compared to Mahabaleshwar, it feels bitterly cold a few kilometers outside the city. Tourists are experiencing the difference between the pleasant cold in Mahabaleshwar and outside.
