Newly Appointed DGP To Start Work Today

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The newly appointed Director General of Police Kailash Makwana will start work from Monday, said officials here on Sunday.

On Saturday, DGP Sudhir Saxena had retired. After the farewell parade, Saxena reached the Police Headquarters where he handover the baton to the newly appointed DGP Makwana and also congratulated and wished for this future.

Makwana will be the 32nd DGP of the state. His appointment order was released on November 23. On Monday, he will reach PHQ and hold formal meeting with officials.

New flight from Bhopal to Goa commences

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The direct flight Bhopal to Goa began on Sunday. Bhopal now has direct air connectivity with 12 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Raipur, Udaipur, Pune, Rewa and Goa. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma welcomed the passengers at Bhopal airport on Sunday.

Airports Authority of India welcomed the flight with water cannon. Airport director Ramji Awasthi and senior officials of AAI and IndiGo airline were also present. Airport Director Ramji Awasthi said, “IndiGo flight number 6E-366 will depart from Dabolim airport in Goa at 1 pm and reach Bhopal Airport at 2.50 pm.

Flight number 6E-367 will depart from Bhopal at 3.20 pm and reach Dabolim at 5.10 pm. This flight service will operate from Sunday to Friday.” Goa has become the third new destination after Pune and Rewa to be connected to Bhopal this winter session.
