Bhopal Sees 1.8 Degree Fall In Night Temperature: Mercury Below 10 Degree Celsius In 14 Districts | Representative Image

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Several parts of the State experienced a sharp drop in temperature with 14 districts recording below 10 degrees Celsius minimum night temperature on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. The trend of temperature will continue for the next couple of days, according to the Meteorological Center.

Shajapur recorded a minimum temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius on Saturday night — the lowest in the state, followed by Rajgarh where the night temperature stood at 7 degree Celsius.

The state capital recorded a drop of 1.8 degrees Celsius in the night temperature setting at 8.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature on Sunday stood at 25.2 degree Celsius, which was 3.4 degrees Celsius below season’s normal.

Indore recorded 25.6 degrees Celsius day temperature, around 3.8 degrees Celsius below normal and the minimum temperature was 12 degrees Celsius, one notch above the temperature recorded the previous night.

According to the meteorological department, due to Cyclone Fengal, the southern part of the state like Betul, Balagaht, Chhindwara districts will have cloudy weather. Otherwise, there will be no impact. As far as temperature is concerned, the trend will continue for the next couple of days and then there will be a rise in temperature.

Fengal To Increase Temperature By 2-3 Degree This Week: Meteorological Center

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Dr Vedprakash Singh, Director, Bhopal Meteorological Center said that due to Cyclone Fengal, the minimum temperatures in the eastern part of the state will increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the first week of December.

The minimum temperature is likely to remain between 10 to 13 degrees Celsius in many places including Bhopal.

Second Week: There is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the second week, said the official. Temperatures will remain between 8 to 10 degrees in most places including Bhopal, while temperatures can remain between 7 to 8 degrees in Bundelkhand, Gwalior, Chambal, Vindhya , he added.

Third Week: There will be cold waves and cold day conditions in the state in the third week. Fog will be seen in the northern part of the state including Gwalior. Temperatures will remain between 7 to 8 degrees Celsius in most places including Bhopal and 4 to 5 degrees in the northern part.

Fourth week: Winter will be at its peak in the fourth and last week. During this time, the minimum temperature can reach 4 to 5 degrees in most places, and the temperature in Gwalior, Chambal region can remain between 2 to 4 degrees. There will be fog, cold days, and cold waves this week too.
