Mumbai: Mulund police has been arrested three accused who raped a minor by luring her with fifty rupees. The arrested accused live in the same area and know the minor well. The incident came to light when the minor had stomach pain and was taken to Sion Hospital for treatment.
According to information received from the police, a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by luring her with fifty rupees. The incident took place in the forest and later after medical examination, the girl was found to be pregnant. Police have registered a case of sexual exploitation and arrested the three absconding accused.
According to information, the complainant 41-year-old woman lives with her family in Mulund area and works in a private catering company. She has a 13-year-old daughter who studies in school. On November 7, at around 3:30 in the afternoon, the girl was crossing the East-West Pedestrian Bridge in Mulund, when she met an unknown person. The man promised to give her fifty rupees and convinced her to come with him. Trusting him, the girl started following the man, who took her to a nearby forest. There he sexually assaulted her.
The whole matter came to light when the hospital informed the Parents and Mulund police about the incident. Mulund police registered an FIR in the related case and arrested three accused. All the accused were hiding in Mulund itself. An FIR has been registered against the accused under Various Sectios of POCSO and BNS Act.
