Meanwhile, a case is coming to light which has put the relationship between daughter-in-law and father-in-law to shame. Actually, a unique case has come to light in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, after marriage, the wife divorced her husband and married her father-in-law. On the complaint of the ex-husband, the police arrested both of them but after seeing the marriage documents in the court, they were released. The husband was a minor at the time of marriage. She willingly went with her father-in-law. Both of them got married in the court.
The matter is of village Dabthara of Bisauli Kotwali area. Where in 2016, a minor was married to a girl in Kunwargaon police station area. At that time Devanand’s son Sumit was 15 years old. Sumit’s mother passed away in 2015. Due to this, his father Devanand got his son married in 2016. After some time of marriage, Devanand became his daughter-in-law. Both of them fell in love with each other.
After this the father-in-law ran away with his daughter-in-law. In the year 2016, the woman divorced her husband and married her father-in-law. Father-in-law Devanand was a sweeper. It is said that Devanand and his daughter-in-law also have a son who is now 2 years old. Sumit kept wandering here and there in search of his wife and father, a complaint against which was lodged at Bisauli police station. After searching for Sumit, when both were not found anywhere, Sumit filed an RTI with Bisauli Kotwali police and sought answers.
The police has given information about this entire matter to Sumit. In this case, Kotwal Rishi Pal Singh of Basauli police station told that Sumit was addicted to gambling and drugs, due to which his wife started staying away from him and due to this bad habit, he got divorced from his wife. Sumit also got divorced from his father’s wife. He knew about the marriage, but he kept demanding maintenance and expenses for himself.
As the fight escalated, the Sub Inspector called Devanand Sumit and the girl. A panchayat was held between them and the girl agreed to live together as she was married to her father-in-law. Along with this, Sumit asked his father Devanand to take the responsibility of his upbringing as well as the care of his younger brother, on which the dispute between the two has not ended yet.
