Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): I have worked in many positions across the country and I can claim, MP Police is best in the country, outgoing DGP Sudhir Saxena said in his farewell address, here on Saturday. The 1987 batch IPS officer Saxena got appointed as the DGP on March 4, 2022. He retired on Saturday, the last day of November.
The DGP said that MP police had cracked down on anti-national organisation like HuT, PFI, JMB modules and have secured the citizens of the state. He thanked and appreciated the entire police force for maintaining law and order in the state and also for doing remarkable job during elections.
‘Elections in Gwalior and Chambal region being peaceful is a great achievement for MP police’, he said. He also emphasised the importance of VVIP visits in the state, ‘Prime Minister had visited the state for more than 40 times, the President of India and the Home Minister had also visited the state and all this went peacefully’, he said.
He welcomed newly-appointed DGP Kailash Makwana and asked the police force to support him in his work, like they had supported him.
Farewell parade led by DGP’s daughter
Probably for the first time, the farewell parade of the DGP was led by his own daughter. IPS officer Sonali Saxena led the farewell parade contingent and gave farewell to her father who was the DGP.
