British musician Ed Sheeran is all set to perform at Yash Lawns in Pune’s Bibwewadi on January 30. This concert will be part of his India tour, with performances planned in five cities. This comes after a sold-out show in Mumbai in March this year, where Sheeran promised fans he would return soon to the country.
Delivering on the promise, the musician is set to embark on his most expansive tour of the country to date, beginning in Pune on January 30 at Yash Lawns, followed by Hyderabad, on February 2 at Ramoji Film City, Chennai on February 5 at YMCA Ground, and Bengaluru on February 8 at NICE Grounds. The 33-year-old will then perform in Shillong on February 12 at JN Stadium before concluding in Delhi-NCR on February 15 at Leisure Valley Ground.
Meanwhile, Punekars are thrilled to watch their favourite singer live. Rajeev Deshmukh, an engineer, said, “I’m very excited for the event. It’s great to have Sheeran in Pune. My friends and I are checking the booking website regularly. As soon as the ticket booking windows open, we’ll book the tickets. We were in college when his song ‘Shape of You’ was released, and there was so much hype that still exists for the song. Seeing him perform live would be amazing!”
Payal Srivastava, an IT professional, said, “I’m very excited to go to his concert. I checked the tickets, but they are not available yet. The tickets will be available from December 11. I just hope that the tickets are not too expensive. I’m looking forward to it.”
Anshul Mahajan, a school-going student, said, “I want to attend his concert, but I don’t think my family would allow me due to my exams. However, I love his songs and really wish to watch his Mathematics tour. My favourite song of his is ‘Beautiful People’. I play guitar, and the first English song I ever learned was ‘Shape of You’.”
