Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The police on Friday issued a hilarious order, announcing a bounty of mere Rs 1 on two absconding criminals. The notice issued features the photographs of two history sheeters—Tabrez and Bittu.  The notice read, “Indore Police is seeking information about the two absconding criminals, Tabrez and Bittu. A reward of rupee 1 (50 paise each) has been declared for their arrest. People are requested to provide any information about their location.”

DCP (zone-1) Vinod Kumar Meena informed Free Press that Tabrez Ali, is a resident of the Sadar Bazar area and on the run in a stabbing incident, and the second one, Bittu alias Saurabh Gaud, a resident of Malharganj area of the city, is a murder accused.

Bittu had threatened the witness of the murder case a few days ago in the Malharganj area. The duo considers themselves as big criminals like ‘don’ and takes pride in their status of being history sheeters, thus were expecting a big bounty. The bounty was the Indore police’s swaggy way of crushing the expectations of the daydreaming goons.

The criminals were booked under serious charges, including murder. The Indore police, therefore, have asked for the public’s cooperation in locating and apprehending the individuals whose photographs are provided in the notice. Police claimed that the duo will nabbed soon.

why just Rs 1?

According to DCP Meena, “The two absconders believed themselves to be the ‘don’ of the city, and if the police happened to announce any bounty on them ever, it would be a huge amount. Therefore, to let them know their value and actual place, we have announced a reward of merely a rupee.”   Also, the people would inform police about their whereabouts without any fear of the accused. The notice also emphasises that any information about the absconders’ whereabouts must be reported to the police and a token reward will be given to those who get valuable leads.
