Lucknow, 29 November (HS). The 103rd foundation day of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park, Lucknow was celebrated with much pomp and show on Friday in the Saras Auditorium of the Zoological Park. On this occasion, Forest Minister Dr. Arun Kumar and Minister of State for Forest K.P. Malik inaugurated the entry plaza prepared under the joint auspices of NTPC and Zoological Park for the convenience of the visitors.
Chief guest of the function, Forest Minister Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena said that today this zoological park is one of the oldest zoological parks in the country. He said that taking inspiration from the adopters today, he will also adopt one of the wild .mals of the zoological park. Special guest, Minister of State for Forests, KP Malik, while welcoming all the guests, said that the zoo will do better work in the coming times. He said that whenever he comes to the zoological park, he gets to see something new. Today is the time of computers and children are getting away from nature and culture. Both things are important for children but there is a need to balance them.
Along with this, the Forest Minister flagged off the rally org.zed by the students of River Side Academy, Gomti Nagar and Amicus Academy, Prag Narayan Road based on wildlife and environment. After that, the guests observed the rangoli prepared on wildlife conservation by 11 girl students and 2 teachers of River Side Academy.
Zoological Park Director Aditi Sharma welcomed the guests on the stage by giving them a bouquet. NTPC representative Snehlata Sandilya was honored for her contribution through CSR fund in Entry Plaza.
