Jhajjar, 29 November (Hindustan Reporter). Haryana State Pollution Control Board has taken major action in Bahadurgarh area which has been facing the brunt of pollution for almost 20 days. So far, the board has collected a fine of about Rs 2 crore 50 lakh in Bahadurgarh. This fine has been imposed on government departments, private institutions and factories that cause pollution. Pollution Control Board has collected a fine of Rs 2 crore 50 lakh after the imposition of grape restrictions in Bahadurgarh. Board’s Assistant Environmental Engineer Ajay Kumar said on Friday that 41 factories causing pollution in Bahadurgarh area have been sealed in the month of November. In these factories, work of making plastic granules was done illegally and apart from this work of dyeing clothes was also done.

Assistant Environmental Engineer Ajay Kumar said that after the crackdown in Bahadurgarh, challans have been issued to more than 50 private institutions using diesel generators. Not only this, notices have been issued to more than 75 construction sites. More than 30 of these sites were also fined heavily. The air quality index level of Bahadurgarh, adjacent to the country’s capital Delhi, is increasing. On Friday, AQI in Bahadurgarh was recorded at 287 in the orange zone. Therefore, now the DC and Pollution Control Department of the district have issued instructions to the government departments to sprinkle four times more water on the roads than before.

Let us tell you that the level of pollution in Bahadurgarh is not due to burning of stubble but due to dust flying from broken roads, pollution from construction sites and various types of factories emitting poisonous smoke day and night. Due to which the amount of PM 2.5 and PM 10 in the atmosphere is continuously increasing. Which has become a cause of trouble for the common people. People are facing problems like burning sensation in eyes, redness of eyes etc. At the same time, he is also experiencing difficulty in breathing. Officials claim that this action will be continued by the Board. Fines are being continuously imposed against those who violate GRP rules, whether government departments or private institutions. Besides, recovery is also being made from them.

The Pollution Control Board has collected fines from departments not following GRP. These include National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC), Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP), Municipal Council, Market Committee and PWD Department.
