Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two people died on the spot, while one was severely injured after a speeding bus hit two bikes back-to-back in Bhopal on Friday noon.
According to information, the accident occurred near DB Mall in the bustling MP Nagar area.
The rashly driven bus hit a bike and sped up further to flee when it hit another motorcycle. The driver fled the scene, leaving the bus on the road.
Upon asking, the eyewitnesses described the accident as shocking. Some visuals of the scene show how severe the incident was, with two bodies lying on the road covered with cloth, as they were badly damaged.
Body parts were scattered on the road, sending shockwaves to passersby. A crowd gathered around and police sealed the lane.
Back-to-back accidents
The first accident happened when the bus hit a bike, killing one person on the spot. The driver accelerated in an attempt to flee, when he rammed into another bike. One rider instantly died on the spot while other was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.
Police have started an investigation and are working to trace the driver, who is currently on the run.
Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could help in identifying the accused.
