Additional Chief Secretary Of The Cultural Affairs Department, Vikas Khare Visits The Studio For Inspection

Additional chief secretary of the cultural affairs department, Vikas Kharge, visited the studio on Thursday for inspection and said that its operations will be carried out under the guidance of MFTSDC’s MD Swati Mhase Patil.

NCLT Approves Resolution Plan

Earlier, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) had approved the resolution plan submitted by the corporation on November 14. As per the plan, the day-to-day administration, security, filming, revenue generation, accounting related activities of the studio will continue as before, but on behalf of the government.

At the studio on Thursday, Kharge interacted with the staff and inspected the key portion of the 52-acre area. He said that a special action team has been established under the supervision of Patil for administrative work. This team will include four key officials, besides finance, law, IT, and human resources advisors.

Renowned art director Nitin Desai created sets for blockbuster films like Lagaan and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He died by suicide in August last year owing to increasing debts.
