Delhi Politics: Arvind Kejriwal targeted BJP and Amit Shah in a press conference on Thursday regarding the law and order situation in Delhi. The interesting thing is that when Arvind Kejriwal raises any issue, its answer is given either by the BJP spokesperson or by the BJP’s IT cell.
There is no leader of Delhi BJP who can be called Kejriwal’s rival. Which face should BJP announce as the Chief Ministerial candidate in Delhi Assembly elections and this dilemma of BJP is the strength of Arvind Kejriwal because he does not have any face to challenge him.
Since 2013, BJP has not been able to field a stronger face than Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. In 2015, an experiment was conducted by making Kiran Bedi the Chief Minister from outside, but she could win only 3 assembly seats and then Kiran Bedi also lost the elections.
BJP fought the 2020 elections without a face. When BJP contests such elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is its face. Talking about the assembly elections to be held after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had not announced a candidate for the post of Chief Minister in any election.
Keeping the elections in Haryana in mind, Naib Singh Saini was made the Chief Minister, but as a strategy, statements of many BJP leaders have also come that they are also contenders. In Maharashtra, BJP leader Amit Shah has already said that Eknath Shinde is the ‘present’ Chief Minister and you can understand what he means.
Talking about Jammu-Kashmir and Jharkhand, there was no point in doing this there. Ravinder Raina in Jammu and Kashmir and Babulal Marandi in Jharkhand were deployed on the front but they were not made the face of the Chief Minister.
