Donation rules: Donation is considered very important in religious texts. Donation means giving up your rights on that thing. Donating to the poor, needy and religious places is considered an act of virtue.

According to centuries old tradition, whenever a person donates, he gets four times the reward of that donation, because charity increases virtue. Also, donating brings happiness and prosperity to the house.

It is described in Hindu scriptures that the more a person donates, the more prosperous his home and the world become. This is why donating is not only considered a religious act but also a part of regular routine.

However, astrologer Radhakant Vats told that how and when donating does not give any benefit? So let us know about it in detail.

Which type of donation is not beneficial?

  • According to the information given in the scriptures, when you ignore the rules of donation and commit three types of mistakes, there is no benefit from donation.
  • Donation should always be done with one’s own money or with an item purchased with one’s own money. If you are donating with someone else’s money then it is useless.
Donation made with someone else’s money will not benefit you, but the person who has the money.
  • Another mistake people often make is bragging about donations. Some people have the habit of boasting of earning Rs 5 lakh by donating Rs 5. It is said in the scriptures that charity should be kept secret, only then one gets its virtue. So when you donate anything, do not advertise it for a day. Donation given by preaching has no value.
  • The third important thing to keep in mind is that one should never judge the other person while donating. Donation is made according to one’s capacity. For example, if you can only donate one fruit to someone, then donate 10 fruits if your capacity is 10 fruits. Giving wholeheartedly brings virtue.
