Varanasi, 28 November (HS). From Thursday, research related to the Harappan civilization and the Stone Age bones found in the Narmada Valley were discussed in the Mahamana Hall of Kashi Hindu University (BHU). The occasion was the inaugural session of the three-day international conference org.zed under the joint aegis of Bioclust and Adnut org.zations. In the conference dedicated to the important achievement of completing 100 years of the discovery of Harappan Civilization, Dr. Prashant N Survajhala, Founder of BioClues and Prof. Satish Kumar, President of Adnet explained the role of their respective institutions in the field of research.
Prof. Satish told that Adnut has been doing DNA research work in the field of science for more than 30 years. Retired IPS Dr. G., Director of Forensic Science Institute, Uttar Pradesh, was present at the conference. Of. Goswami shared his memories of his time as SP City of Varanasi. Mentioned about the devastation caused by the 1998 blasts and killing of terrorists. He told about the job prospects in science and how science is being used in many legal functions today. He said that there is no point in such research which has no direct benefit to the society. He advised the researchers to give correct, accurate and useful research findings of science in the society.
In the conference, Director, Anthropological Survey of India, Prof. Bhallamudi V. Sharma said that the Harappan civilization has added new dimensions to the Indian Renaissance. He told what is the importance of the discovery of Harappa and Mohenjodaro and the anthropological studies done in these sites. The Anthropological Survey of India played a major role in studying ancient humans and their interactions, in which fossil remains, archaeological discoveries and other evidence also played an important role.
He also discussed the Stone Age bones found from Narmada Valley. The first program was inaugurated by the Head of Faculty of Science Institute, Prof. S. It happened in the presence of M. Singh and Head of Department Arvind Acharya. E-abstract booklet was released in the conference.
