Principal Secretary of Water Resources Department, Santosh Kumar Malla reviewed the important schemes regarding flood management of Water Resources Department and gave necessary instructions to the officials. In a meeting held in the auditorium of Sinchai Bhawan in Patna on Thursday, Principal Secretary of Water Resources Department in Bihar, Santosh Kumar Mall, conducted a detailed review of the major schemes of Flood Management Program (FMP).
He gave necessary instructions to complete the pending works soon and get the pending reimbursement from the Central Government. The important schemes which were specifically discussed in this included the plan of raising, strengthening and construction of road on the eastern and western embankments of Kosi River, the plan of raising and strengthening the left and right embankments of Adhwara Khiroi and Khiroi River, Khagaria City Security Plan. Part-2, Chandan Flood Management Plan, Bhoothahi Balan Left Embankment Extended Plan is the main one. The concerned Chief Engineer and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
