There was a heated argument between KL Rahul and Sanjeev Goenka after a match during IPL 2024. Since then there was a rift in their relationship. It was then speculated that Rahul would leave LSG. However, Rahul and Sanjeev were seen together a few months ago when Zaheer Khan became the mentor of the team. Then Goenka had called Rahul a member of his family. But it is not decided whether Rahul will be the captain in IPL 2025 also or not. Whereas LSG did not bid on Rahul in the IPL 2025 auction.
