School Holidays 2024: There is relief news for school students. The M.pur government has ordered indefinite closure of all schools and colleges in curfew areas from November 27. During this period, classes will not be held in schools and colleges in Imphal East and West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching and Jiribam districts till further orders.

Under the order, all schools, government aided private and Kendriya Vidyalayas located in the valley areas will also remain closed from November 27 till further orders. Government educational institutions, government aided colleges, state universities etc. under the Higher and Technical Education Department will also remain closed in the curfew districts.

Schools will remain closed for so many days in December

In view of the movement of tigers and elephants in Dindori district, the district administration has closed all the schools running in Pandari P., Gopalpur, Khamhar Khudra, Chakmi, Kharidih and Chauradadar under Jan Shiksha Kendra Gopalpur and the above area (forest area) of Karanjia under Chada development block Bajag. Holiday has been declared in all the schools operating around the educational institutions till 29 November 2024.

In the month of December, there will be a holiday in schools on 25th December on the occasion of Christmas Day. Apart from this, all schools will remain closed on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th as they are Sundays. In many schools, classes are not held even on second and fourth Saturdays.

Winter holidays from December to January in Madhya Pradesh

Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh has declared 6 days winter vacation in all private and government schools. There will be winter vacation in schools from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, but after that there is a Sunday holiday on 5 January. Therefore, students and teachers will get 6 consecutive days of leave. School operations will start from Monday i.e. 6th January. In December too, schools will remain closed on Sundays along with second and fourth Saturdays.
