Rae Bareli, 27 November (Hindustan Reporter). In war, bravery, patience, truth, modesty, strength, benevolence, discretion and the power to control the senses are the biggest chariot and armor for any hero, Lord Ram had all this and Ravana was devoid of all these. This is the reason why he was defeated. This thought was expressed by Swami Swarupa Nand Maharaj, the world head of Chinmaya Mission, while inaugurating the Vibhishana Geeta in the thirtieth annual function of NTPC’s Chinmaya Vidyalaya. He said that during the war with Ravana, Vibhishana had doubts in his mind after seeing Lord Rama without chariot and armour. When he questioned Lord Rama, Lord Rama narrated him the Vibhishana Geeta, after which Vibhishana’s doubts were cleared.
He said that Lord Rama told Vibhishana that a pure (sinless) and stable (stable) mind is like a quiver. Sham (control of mind), Ahimsadi, Yama and Niyama are many Vaanas. Worship of Brahmins and Guru is an impenetrable shield. There is no other way to win like this.
