Ranchi, 27 November (Hindu). A partial hearing was held on Wednesday in the court of MP-MLA Special Judge Sarthak Sharma in the case of exemption from personal appearance of Rahul Gandhi. The next hearing of this case will be on December 7.
This case is related to objectionable remarks against the then National President of BJP Amit Shah (now Home Minister). Rahul Gandhi wants exemption from personal appearance in the case. His advocate Pradeep Chandra has filed a petition regarding this. Rahul Gandhi has to appear in court in the case. The summons for the appearance is continuing.
On this, complainant Naveen Jha’s lawyer Vinod Sahu had requested to issue an arrest warrant against Rahul Gandhi.
It is noteworthy that after the complaint was filed in the case in the year 2018, Ranchi Civil Court had issued summons to Rahul Gandhi for the first time. This complaint was made by BJP worker Naveen Jha in the year 2018.
The petition said that the then National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi had made objectionable remarks against the then National President of BJP Amit Shah in the convention held in Delhi.
