New Delhi, 27 November (HS). Tata-led airline Air India on Wednesday said it will deploy Vistara’s A320 aircraft on routes across five major metros. These routes also include Delhi-Mumbai and Mumbai-Hyderabad air routes.
Air India said in a statement that it will deploy Vistara’s A320 aircraft on five key metro-to-metro routes, including Delhi-Mumbai and Mumbai-Hyderabad, as part of its network optimization efforts. These A320 aircraft feature state-of-the-art narrow-body cabin products, which will be used to enhance the passenger travel experience on these routes.
The Tata Group-owned airline said the company will continue to operate one flight with one wide-body aircraft each between Delhi and Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad as part of its ongoing transformation. Along with this, Boeing 777 or Airbus A350 aircraft will be deployed on these routes.
It is noteworthy that earlier this month, Air India has completed its merger with Vistara. It is a full-service carrier, known for high standards of service. Flights operated by Vistara are now identified with the ‘AI2’ prefix for the convenience of passengers at the time of booking.
