Coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Rayalaseema may receive heavy rainfall between November 28 and 30. Especially in the south-west and west-central Bay of Bengal, the wind speed can reach 60-80 kilometers per hour. The deep depression over the south-west Bay of Bengal may turn into a cyclonic storm by Wednesday and cross the Sri Lankan coast and move towards Tamil Nadu in the next two days.

In the latest information released at around 12 noon on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department said that till 8.30 am on Tuesday, the deep pressure area was centered about 310 km south-east of Trincomalee, 710 km south-southeast of Puducherry and 800 km south-southeast of Chennai. Was.

“It is very likely to continue moving north-northwest and intensify into a cyclonic storm on November 27,” the IMD said. “It will then continue to move in a north-northwest direction towards the Tamil Nadu coast, crossing the Sri Lankan coast in the next two days.”
