Turban ceremony was performed to coronate him. After being declared the heir of Chittorgarh, he wanted to visit the dusty place of Udaipur City Palace. But the current president of the trust and uncle Arvind Singh Mewar stopped him from going inside. After which stone pelting started.
Controversy over the coronation of the new king
Controversy has increased regarding the coronation of the new royal family in Mewar, Rajasthan. A tense situation persisted outside Udaipur’s City Palace till late Monday night, where former Mewar royal family member Vishvaraj Singh and his supporters were not allowed inside.

To control the situation, the police had to resort to lathicharge. Heavy police deployment has been made outside Udaipur City Palace. Keeping in view the prevailing situation, the police has sent a report to the Additional District Magistrate to appoint a receiver for the disputed area from Badi Pol of City Palace to Dhuti and Zanana Mahal. The same place is in Dhuni City Palace, where Vishvaraj Singh has to go for darshan.

After the clash between two groups of the royal family of Udaipur on Monday (25 November) night, District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal said, ‘Law and order is completely under control. Talks are ongoing with representatives of the palace as well as the community, while negotiations are still ongoing with others.’
Why did the situation worsen outside the City Palace?
Mewar royal Vishvaraj Singh was reportedly denied entry to the palace. His supporters became angry by not allowing him to enter the palace. Supporters of Vishvaraj Singh Mewar started pelting stones and tried to forcibly enter the palace. The people present inside the palace retaliated, due to which the situation worsened.
