Subhadra Yojana: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has launched a scheme for women in his state. Its name is Subhadra Yojana. To improve the condition of women in the state of Odisha, CM Majhi on Sunday sent Rs 5,000 as the first installment to 20 lakh women. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme on September 17. So far, 80 lakh women have received Rs 5,000 as the first installment of the scheme in several phases.
Third phase of this scheme
Now the third phase of this scheme is going on in the state. Which was started by Majhi in a program org.zed in Sundergarh district. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida and Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik and others attended the program. While starting the distribution of money, Majhi asked the women present at the function to check the alert on their mobile phones for deposit of money. As soon as the message of deposit of money came on the mobile phone, the audience celebrated by clapping.
Know what is ‘Subhadra Yojana’?
‘Subhadra Yojana’ is an ambitious scheme of the Government of Odisha. This scheme has been created to empower women financially. Under this scheme, eligible women of the state will be provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 per year, which will be given directly into their bank accounts in two installments of ₹5,000 each.
Target to benefit more than 1 crore women
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the Odisha government’s flagship scheme Subhadra in Bhubaneswar. According to the information, this is the biggest women-centric scheme of the state, which aims to benefit more than one crore women. Under this scheme, the Prime Minister launched this scheme by sending funds to the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women.
Who will get this facility?
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to apply for Subhadra Yojana:
Residence: Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
gender: Only female applicants are eligible.
age: Between 21 to 60 years as on 1st July 2024.
Employment Status: Not working in any government sector.
Income Range: The family income should be Rs 2.5 lakh per annum or less.
Family Limit: Only one woman per family can avail the benefits of this scheme.
Special cases: Anganwadi and Asha workers are included, but if their spouses are government employees, they are ineligible.
