Parliament Winter Session: The political situation of the country has changed a lot since the Lok Sabha elections. But still, the mood of the opposition party makes it clear that the winter session starting from Monday i.e. today will also be temporary. The government has also indicated to bring about 16 bills like Waqf Amendment, One Nation-One Election during the session. After the results of assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and by-elections held in many states, the winter session of Parliament is starting from Monday, which will continue till December 20. In order to run the Parliament session smoothly, the functioning of the session was discussed in the all-party meeting held on Sunday.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government has listed around 16 bills for the session. These include the Waqf Amendment Bill and the Punjab Court Amendment Bill. Along with this, a bill related to one nation-one election can also be brought during the session. The government has already given indications in this regard.
Government ready to discuss all issues: Rijiju
Rijiju said that the government is ready to discuss all issues as per rules. She does not want the House’s time to be wasted at all. Meanwhile, the Jagdambika Pal-led JPC on Waqf reforms review will also submit its report on the last day of the first week of the session.
However, the opposition has demanded further extension of time given to the JPC. During the session, opposition forces also presented their demands before the government. Deputy Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi demanded that the government discuss the bribery allegations against Ad.. He also demanded discussion on M.pur violence, dangerous situation created by air pollution in North India and railway accidents.

The Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill and the Railway Act Amendment Bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha. A bill will also be introduced to amend the Railway Act.
There is also speculation that the government may introduce the ‘One Nation-One Election’ bill in this session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently said that the government is working on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ plan.
The Banking Laws Amendment Bill will further amend the Reserve Bank of India Act, the Banking Regulation Act, the State Bank of India Act and the Banking Comp.es Act.
The Indian Aircraft Act, 2024 Bill will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha to provide for regulation and control over the design, manufacture, maintenance, possession, use, operation, sale, export and maintenance of aircraft.
