New Delhi: By-elections were held on 46 assembly seats in 13 states, the results of which have been declared. The BJP and its allies won 26 out of 46 seats, an increase of nine seats. Whereas Congress had to face victory on seven seats and defeat on six seats. Mamata’s party TMC got all six seats, Dehe three, SP two and LDF one, BAPA one seat. BJP was dominant in the North, while Congress was dominant in the South.

Congress won the Nanded Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala.

In Uttar Pradesh, BJP won six out of nine seats, SP won two and RLD one seat, while in Assam, BJP won three out of five seats, AGP won one and UPPL won one seat. Similarly, two out of four seats in Bihar have gone to BJP’s account, while JDU and HAM have also got one seat each. BJP has won Vav seat of Gujarat. In Karnataka, the ruling Congress won all three seats, in Kerala one seat went to CPM and one Congress, in Madhya Pradesh one seat went to BJP and one Congress.

In Punjab, three out of four seats were won by AAP and one by Congress, in Rajasthan, five out of seven seats were won by BJP while one seat was won by Congress and one seat by BADVP. All the six seats of West Bengal have gone to Mamata’s party TMC, here the protests over the rape and murder of a doctor in RG Kar Hospital did not have any impact on the by-elections. On the contrary, Mamata’s party TMC has snatched one seat from BJP. If we look at the states, BJP got more seats in North India, while Congress had dominance in South India.

BJP won six out of nine seats in Uttar Pradesh, after which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked the voters and said that the politics of lies and loot of the Bharat Alliance has ended. In the press conference after the election results, Yogi said that the credit for the victory goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under his leadership, the double engine government is making the schemes for public safety, security and welfare successful.

BJP’s Ramveer Thakur won this seat with 60 percent Muslim voters.

Lucknow: By-elections were held on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, in which Kundarki seat is currently in discussion.
