UP ByElection Results 2024: Congress may have succeeded in saving its credibility by not contesting a single seat in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections, but the Samajwadi Party has also suffered a major blow. Samajwadi Party was ready to give two seats to Congress, Ghaziabad and Khair. But seeing the chances of victory as slim, Congress did not contest the elections.
Big leaders of Congress had kept distance from the election meeting of Samajwadi Party. This time too, Congress tried to create an atmosphere to save the Constitution on all the 9 seats through the resolution conference. But this time people supported the campaign to protect the Constitution.
There was no special unity seen between the workers of both the parties regarding the by-election. Samajwadi Party got two seats in Sisamau and Karahal.
In Ghaziabad Assembly Elections 2022, BJP candidate Atul Garg won by securing 61.37 percent votes. BJP’s Sanjeev Sharma managed to win the by-election by securing 62.99 percent votes. On this seat, SP candidate Vishal Verma got 18.25 percent votes and Congress candidate Sushant Goyal got 4.83 percent votes.
