Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], November 23 (.): Exuding confidence over MVA winning assembly polls in Maharashtra and JMM-led alliance in Jharkhand, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said that Congress will also win the three bypolls in Karnataka.
“Exit polls will fail and we will win. We are very much confident that we will win all three seats in the Karnataka by-poll. No leader of the AICC approached me or spoke to me, we don’t have any plans as of now (on hung assembly speculations of Maharashtra),” Shivakumar said.
According to most exit polls, the ruling Mahayuti is poised to retain power in Maharashtra and the NDA also has an edge to form government in Jharkhand.

The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance includes the BJP, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party, while the opposition MVA comprises the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the NCP (Sharad Pawar).
Voting for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly took place on Wednesday with a voter turnout of about 66 per cent. Jharkhand saw a 67.74 per cent voter turnout in the two phases of the elections.
Arrangements are in place for counting votes today for Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly polls and bypolls on 48 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats across 15 states. (.)
