MOSCOW: Just days after the US gave Ukraine permission to use US-made long-range missiles against Russia, Ukraine fired six US ATACMS missiles at Russia’s Bryansk province. On the other hand, when a 1000-day war is about to take place with Ukraine in response to America’s changed policy, Russian President Vladimir Putin is also changing his nuclear policy and the world is in danger of a third world war. Under the new policy, an attack by a nuclear-armed country in partnership with Russia would be considered a joint attack on Moscow and the military would be able to launch a nuclear strike.
Outgoing US President Joe Biden made a grave mistake by allowing Ukraine to launch US-made long-range missiles into Russia. Ukraine, after receiving US approval, fired six American-made Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles at Russia’s Brinks province on Tuesday morning, out of which we shot down five and damaged one missile. The missile hit a Russian military facility in the Karachay region, 75 miles from the border with Ukraine. However, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that we have not suffered any major loss due to this attack by Ukraine.
However, Ukraine has not yet officially confirmed the ATACMS missile attack on Russia. But on Tuesday, when 1000 days of Russia’s attack on Ukraine have been completed, experts are claiming that the situation has worsened due to America’s approval and this attack on Ukraine.
Russia described the US allowing Ukraine to attack Russia with long-range missiles as a direct US war with Moscow. Apart from this, the very next day after America’s approval, Russia changed its nuclear attack policy. While signing the documents, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if a country that does not have nuclear weapons attacks Russia with the help of a country that has nuclear weapons, it would be considered a joint declaration of war against Russia. If ballistic missiles are used against Russia, a nuclear attack could be launched in response.
Russian President Putin signed a new doctrine on Tuesday, sending a clear message to the West and Ukraine that it widens the scope of circumstances under which Russia could launch a nuclear strike. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov sent a clear message to Ukraine and the West that it is necessary to adapt our principles to the current situation. However, he also said that Russia would only launch a nuclear attack if forced to do so.
Earlier, Russia’s policy was to use nuclear weapons only in the event of a nuclear attack, but now the military has been authorized to use nuclear weapons in the event of a ballistic missile attack as well. Meanwhile, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine. Russia launched missile and drone attacks on residential areas of Ukraine for the third consecutive day. Russia on Tuesday targeted an educational building in the Ukrainian city of Lukhiv, killing 12 civilians and injuring 84 others.
Meanwhile, on November 24, when the Russia-Ukraine war will complete 1,000 days, sources say that so far a total of 10 lakh soldiers of both the countries have been killed or seriously injured in this war. On November 24, 1,000 days will be completed of the war that started in February 2022.
