Airport Security Check: Amidst the increasing tension between India and Canada, now passengers coming from Canada to India will be subjected to more security checks. People coming to India and their luggage will be specially checked at the airport. Due to this, screening of passengers will take some more time. Speaking about the decision on Monday evening, Canada’s Transport Minister .ta Anand called it part of a new temporary protocol that has been implemented very carefully.

Passengers and their luggage will be screened

This safety protocol will be enforced by the Canadian Air Transport Safety Authority (CATSA). CATSA is the agency that will screen passengers and their luggage before they enter restricted areas of Canadian airports.

4 hours ago have to reach the airport

As per the new protocol, Air Canada has informed passengers traveling to India about the longer security time. For which passengers will have to reach the airport four hours before.

Strict protocol for travelers coming to India from Canada

The move to tighten security protocols for tourists traveling to India comes a month after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police claimed they had evidence of the involvement of agents working on behalf of the Indian government in Canada. Involved in org.zed crime like extortion, intimidation, harassment etc.

On the other hand, India rejected this claim of the Canadian police. India also recalled its High Commissioner to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma after Ottawa denied the allegations. After this, both the countries have expelled each other’s top diplomats.
