Attic: Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested 8 smugglers with 3 kg 970 grams of heroin and three pistols from different places. Amritsar Rural SSP Charanjit Singh said that police station Gharinda has arrested Rashpal Singh resident of near Holy City School, New Abadi Kot Khalsa and Rajwinder Singh resident of New Abadi Kot Khalsa police station Islamabad Amritsar with 470 grams of heroin.
Similarly, CIA staff detained Shaganpreet Singh, resident of Hardortan, along with two 9 mm Glock pistols, magazines and a motorcycle. Ramdas police station, while taking action against heroin smuggling and illegal weapons, recovered 9 mm pistol and one 32 bore pistol along with 3 kg from Jaspinder Singh alias Bagga, Pawan Pal, Harsukhmanpreet Singh, Akash Masih and Beant Roop alias Beant Pasan. 500 grams of heroin seized. The arrested SSP told that cases are being registered against all the accused in different police stations and their past and past relationships are being investigated and if anyone else is found involved in these cases, then strict action will be taken against him as per the law.
