Lucknow, 19 November (HS). The meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) regarding PCS officers of year 2008 batch was held in Uttar Pradesh. In this, all related proposals to promote these officers from 7600 grade pay to 8700 grade pay have been approved.

This meeting was held under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary IAS Manoj Kumar Singh. In this it was decided that except the tainted officers, all other PCS officers would be promoted. There are 14 PCS officers of 2008 batch. They will be promoted in the new grade pay on the basis of merit. At the same time, there are 22 PCS officers of 2011 batch and 47 PCS officers of 2012 batch. These PCS officers who have completed 12 years of service will also be given new grade pay on the basis of seniority.

As soon as the PCS officers of 2008 batch get the benefit of this, the path of becoming IAS will become easier. Officers of this batch will also be saved from financial loss due to salary in future.
