Kanpur Dehat, 19 November (HS). Administrative officials raided the illegal diesel petrol business running a few steps away from the post in Bhog.pur police station area of the district late on Monday night. Officials recovered a huge quantity of diesel petrol from three tankers at the spot.
There were reports of theft of diesel and petrol in the district for several days. The gang involved in stealing diesel and petrol sold it at low prices. The information of which was continuously reaching the top officials of the district. On the orders of the District Magistrate, Deputy District Magistrate Sarvesh Singh and District Marketing Officer Raghavendra Pratap Singh raided two places near Devipur police post of Bhog.pur police station area late on Monday night. At both the places, officials found illegal storage of diesel petrol in huge quantities. A large quantity of diesel and petroleum products were recovered from three tankers. The officials filed an FIR naming eight people.
