Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert took place in Gift City Gandhinagar. These days, Diljit is doing concerts in many cities of the country under ‘Dil-Luminati’ India Tour. Telangana authorities had sent a notice to Diljit during a concert org.zed in Hyderabad before Ahmedabad on 15th, where Diljit had used the words alcohol, drugs in some of the songs sung by him. Due to notice effect, Diljit removed the word ‘liquor’ from the song and added the word ‘Coca Cola’. But after this incident, Diljit’s suppressed anger came out during the Gift City concert. Diljit said in the concert that ‘Thousands of songs are made on alcohol in Bollywood. I have one song, maximum 2-4 songs. I won’t sing that either, even today I won’t sing those songs. Bollywood actors do liquor advertisements but I have not done any advertisement yet. I have never touched alcohol till date. Wherever I go, I silently program myself.

If government imposes liquor ban in all states, I will never sing alcohol songs: Diljit

During the concert, Diljit gave an open challenge to the government and said, ‘If any of our states declare themselves a dry state, then the very next day Diljit Dosanjh will not sing any song on alcohol. Second, you ban alcohol for a day in the city where my show is taking place. I will not sing alcohol based songs in the concert. This is very easy for me. I am a new artiste and you will say, I can’t sing this song, I won’t sing that song. Hey, what should I do now? I’ll change the song and it’ll be just as much fun.

Everything was closed in Corona but liquor bars were open

Attacking some leaders who are making political gains in the name of liquor, Diljit said, ‘During Corona, all businesses and jobs in the country were closed. But liquor shops continued to operate in the country. You cannot fool the youth of this country like this. If there is a ban on liquor in Gujarat then I am a fan of the government. I want liquor to be banned in Amritsar also. I will stop singing on liquor, you stop the country contracts.
