Indian team’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami is making waves in international cricket as well as IPL. Shami’s performance in the last few years of IPL has been consistently good, where he has taken many wickets. Shami may not be able to play in IPL 2024, but if Gujarat Titans do not exercise RTM for him, the fast bowler is likely to fetch a big amount in the IPL mega auction. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Mohammed Shami was earlier a part of the KKR camp in the IPL. However, the right-arm fast bowler was soon dropped from the team. If KKR decides not to retain their main fast bowler Mitchell Starc, then there is a possibility that KKR will go all out to buy Shami. Keep in mind that Shami has played most of his domestic cricket at KKR’s home ground Eden Gardens. This may encourage KKR to make a big bid for Shami.
Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Mohammed Shami has been successful with Punjab Kings, where he was with the team in the 2019 season. Then Shami had taken the most wickets for Punjab. His experience may bring him back to Punjab.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
Mohammed Shami’s current track record could make him a good option for RCB’s bowling lineup. RCB’s bowling unit was the main reason for their downfall in IPL 2024. If RCB is successful in bringing Shami into their camp then Yash Dayal and Shami can be an explosive bowling pair here.
