PM Modi reached Brazil from Nigeria

The Prime Minister is currently in Brazil for the summit on the second leg of his three-nation foreign tour. PM Modi is on a 5-day visit to Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana from 16 to 21 November. After Nigeria tour, PM Modi reached Brazil on Monday. On reaching Rio de Janeiro, he was given a grand welcome by the Indian community with Sanskrit chanting. This is PM Modi’s third visit to Brazil after the BRICS summits in 2014 and 2019.

The G20 is an international forum, comprising 19 countries and members of the European Union (EU). Its main objective is to discuss and cooperate on global economy, financial stability, climate change and other important global issues. The G20 is a group of the world’s leading economies and plays an important role in global policy making.

Let us tell you that G20 was formed in the year 1999 and its main objective was to control the global financial crisis and promote economic growth. This conference is held every year and it brings together the heads of member states to discuss global issues. Last year, India hosted the G20 in Delhi.
