According to Dr. Amit Kumar, Director of Shatayu Ayurveda and Panchakarma Center in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, the alkaline nature of black water makes it extremely beneficial for health. Dr. Amit says, “The minerals present in black water boost metabolism in the body, improve digestion, reduce acidity and boost immunity. “It helps maintain the body’s acid-base balance, which helps keep us healthy.”
Apart from this, Dr. Amit explains that the water we usually drink lacks minerals, whereas black water is rich in these minerals. RO water has a low pH level, making it more acidic and can cause problems in the body. In such a situation, black water helps in protecting the body from these problems.

According to Dr. Amit, “When black water has a pH of 8.8, it can be helpful in reducing the activity of pepsin enzyme produced in the stomach, which causes acidity. Although black water has benefits, it should also be consumed in balanced quantity. Its excessive consumption can cause some kind of imbalance in the body. Dr. Amit says, “Although this water can provide relief from many health problems, we should still keep in mind that minerals obtained from natural water sources are always more effective.”
The biggest disadvantage of Blackwater is its price. It is much more expensive than normal water, due to which it may be out of reach of the common man. However, people serious about fitness and health like to include this water in their daily routine.
