The Women and Child Development Department is ready at every moment to help those women from any section of the family or society who are going through trauma i.e. any kind of psychological trauma. Through Sakhi One Stop Centre, it is working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide shelter to the girls and women facing such difficulties and to help them overcome their trauma. If any such case comes in your contact, then while performing the duty of a responsible citizen, you can contact us at any time, I assure them of all possible assistance.

These things were said by Smt. Renu Prakash, District Program Officer of Women and Child Development Department, who was present as the chief guest at the closing session of the birth anniversary of Veerangana R. Lakshmi Bai and Mission Sahasi program org.zed by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jamnipali on Monday. This program was org.zed at Saraswati Shishu Mandir HTTP Colony under the leadership of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Jamnipali City Minister Krishna Aggarwal. Program Officer Mrs. Renu Prakash, while providing guidance to the girl students and girls involved in the training, said that Sakhi One Stop Center is a scheme made to deal with violence against women and girls. Under this scheme, women and girls suffering from violence are provided a variety of facilities at one place. These include temporary shelter, police desk, legal aid, medical treatment and counselling. The objective of this scheme is to provide integrated assistance and support to women affected by violence. For this, women are provided urgent, emergency and non-emergency services. These include services such as medical, legal, psychological and psychological trauma recovery counselling. This scheme is known as Sakhi.

On this occasion, Assistant Sub Inspector Mrs. Neelam Kerketta from the Women’s Cell was present as a special guest. Under his guidance, female constable Pratibha Roy provided important information about the importance and usefulness of Abhivyakti App to the students involved in the training. They were told how to call for immediate help in case of any emergency and can also lodge their complaint through the app.
