Tel Aviv: Hezbollah on Saturday attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home in the northern Israeli city of Caesarea for the second time in a month. Two flash bombs dropped by Hezbollah fell in the garden of Netanyahu’s home. However, there was no damage. Israel’s intelligence agency Shin Bet and police have confirmed the attack. Hezbollah’s chief spokesman Mohammed Afif was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Sunday in retaliation for the attack.

Earlier in October, Netanyahu’s house was attacked with a drone. There was no loss in this attack also. However, these attacks on Netanyahu have set back any peace talks between Hezbollah and Israel. Israel has been fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon since a terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
Israel responded to the attack on PM Netanyahu’s house within a few hours. Israeli forces killed Hezbollah’s chief spokesman Mohammed Afif in its first airstrike in central Beirut. Mohammad Afif was representing Hezbollah in the media after Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack.
Apart from this, 11 people were killed in Israeli air strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon. Sources said that Israeli fighter planes and drones carried out 90 attacks in the area on Saturday. Apart from this, 75 shells were thrown on 16 villages. In response, Hezbollah also destroyed an Israeli tank in the village of Chama in southern Lebanon, killing all the soldiers on board. On the other hand, Palestinian medical officials said that 12 civilians were killed when Israeli forces attacked the Gaza Strip.
