Exercise is an important part of keeping a healthy body and mind, but some common mistakes can have the opposite effect. If exercise is not done correctly, it can have a negative impact on mental health and increase anxiety. Below are 5 common exercise mistakes that may be increasing your anxiety.

1. Excessive Exercise: Excessive exercise can increase levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the body. When we work too hard, our body takes it as stress, which can increase anxiety problems. It is better to maintain a balance of exercise and take time to rest your body.

2. Exercise before sleeping: Exercising at night increases the energy level in the body, which can cause difficulty in sleeping. Lack of sleep makes the mind restless, which can further increase the problem of anxiety. Try to complete your exercise at least three hours before sleeping, so that your body and mind can get peace.

3. Doing too much cardio: Cardio exercises are good for the body, but excessive practice can cause anxiety. Doing cardio for long periods of time increases cortisol levels in the body, which can cause anxiety. Do the right combination of all types of exercises and also take breaks from time to time.

4. Putting too much pressure on yourself: The purpose of exercise is to stay healthy, but when we put too much pressure on ourselves, it can cause stress. This stress can gradually turn into anxiety. Instead of putting too much pressure on yourself, set realistic goals and gradually improve your performance.

5. Not following correct technique: Exercising the wrong way can leave your body exhausted and injured, which can ultimately lead to anxiety. Take care of the correct technique and position of the exercise, so that you can get mental balance and peace.
